Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Round Up

So a few days ago Perseph and I (seriously, babe, four syllables!? You expect me to type that?) loaded up with three varieties of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream (CCCDIC) to see just how real the cookie dough is. We made up some refreshments for an exhausting evening of testing, and then proceeded to bake cookies.

At this point, it became clear that we'd need backup. I enlisted the ballerina reindeer (note the mistletoe skirt) and the cat:

Onwards! The first ice cream we tested was Ben and Jerry's:

After many mechanical solutions failed, we turned to slave labor for cookie dough extraction. Best part is you never have to feed 'em!

The extracted cookies: Note the machine-shapedness of the dough.

After cooking in the toaster oven (400 degrees for three or four minutes) - they look just like real cookies! They taste like real cookies, too:

There are few pictures, but rest assured all Ben and Jerry's cookies were consumed.

This post is LONG! Part 2 will appear tomorrow, or at least sometime soonish.

God, I love Japan.

Meat
hats are IN
.

That's probably some sort of game show gone wrong, or maybe gone right; I'm wondering if the plan is like, last meat head standing wins? Seems more like a recipe for a clawed out eyeball. Plus, would a lizard really want to eat a big old slab of meat? I thought they preferred rodents or snakes and stuff, but I guess if you strap something to the head of a teeny-jpopper I'd go for it too.

Yay resizable roundiness

I kept the colors and a lot of general stuff from the original rounded corners template, but redid the layout so that everything is resizable and always fills the entire window. I'm quite happy with it; no more nasty fixed width images. I'll probably get my own color scheme and ditch the remaining template bits just to be original, but that'll wait until I have more free time on my hands. Currently writing a little paper for a conference; it's going pretty well, but deadlines are short! That and I have a test coming up on Thursday, and some projects to finish up.

Awesome.

This has got to be the most awesome thing I have ever witnessed. Ever. I stared at it for like, six hours... time to go to bed. The best part is that it's on ytmnd; I've never seen anything even remotely interesting on that shitty site before.

Tinkering

I'm mucking about with the template; I love the rounded corners, see, but having something fixed width is just unacceptable. This is the internet, it's not a photogallery! Seriously, HTML is designed to present info in a logical manner to the user, regardless of their input capabilities; you can add graphics, certainly, but if they detract from the experience you should just use text. Every website I've ever made looks fine in Lynx... then again 99% of people nowadays don't even know what Lynx is. Simple answer: Lynx is better than you. It's the fastest web browser ever created, and I mean ever.

Ho-hum. Lots of crap going on, I'm psychotically busy with work, but I can't help tinkering around with this thing... I like tinkering way too much. Tinkering is actually the number one reason I have a cat; with such a complicated mapping of inputs to outputs, I never get tired of messing with her.
